Central Vermont Local Gift Guide & Supporting Small Businesses during the Holidays

How many of you have someone on your list that "has everything"? We've compiled a list of gift ideas that almost anyone will enjoy, and what's even better is they all support small local businesses in our community!

4. Give a local gift certificate, we are partial to Three Penny Taproom, Morse Block Deli and Pearl Street Pizza, you can find our products on their menus! Step it up, giving this gift to parents of young kids? Offer to babysit the kids too, this can be such a meaningful gift!

5. Darn Tough Socks - these are seriously the only socks I wear all winter long. They are comfortable, warm, fun designs, and they are GUARANTEED to last!

6. Know someone that loves coffee? Order from our friends at 802 Coffee, they have something for everyone! 7. Shopping for someone artsy? Check out The Artisans Hand in Montpelier, this is such a special store that is filled with crafts made by Vermonters. You are sure to find beautiful pottery, jewelry, artwork, and for this time of year one of my favorites are the porcelain ornaments!

8. Grab a copy of John's (one of our original farm owners) newest book, Harmony Hill, right here at the Market. This is a fictional story set in the 1940s about a young boy and his drive to keep his family farm going. You can pair it with a throw blanket from Vermont Flannel Company for a unique and cozy Vermont gift!

9. Check out the brand new company, Bergamot + Amor, for some beautiful handbags that will last! They also have wallets and clutches if you are looking for something smaller. Every time I travel with my Bergot and Amor bag, I get at least one compliment!

10. Give an experience gift, grab some yaktraks or gaiters from Onion River Outdoors, and make a date to go enjoy the many trails in East Montpelier! You will be able to hike through a lot of land that we farm!
