Farming For Future Generations
NEK Grains
We’re proud to carry NEK Grains, a Vermont-grown grain company dedicated to bringing truly local flour from field to table.
Grown & Milled in Vermont
All NEK Grains wheat is grown at Gingue Family Farm in Waterford, Vermont, where soil health is a top priority. Their grain crops are grown without the use of pesticides, focusing instead on sustainable farming practices that support long-term soil vitality.
Once harvested, the wheat is milled on a traditional granite stone mill. This slow, careful milling process preserves the full flavor and nutritional integrity of the entire wheat berry—resulting in flour that’s richer, more aromatic, and more nutritious than conventionally milled alternatives.

About the Wheat
NEK Grains uses Warthog Wheat, a variety known for its excellent flavor and versatility. It performs beautifully in a wide range of baked goods, from hearty breads and pizza dough to muffins, pancakes, and pastries.
