Fairmont Farm | Since 1992

Fairmont Farm is a third generation dairy farm located in East Montpelier and Craftsbury, Vermont. We are proud to be a Cabot Cooperative Family Farm and raise Registered Holstein cows. We milk 1,450 cows and raise our heifer calves. Sustainability is extremely important at Fairmont which is why we are always looking for technology and conservation practices to use on the 3,600 acres we manage.

The quality of the meats has been outstanding, and visiting the farm for pickup is a great alternative to conventional shopping trips. Fun way to shop local.

I love lamb and this lamb compares with some of the best I have eaten. It's so nice to know that the animal was well tended and what they ate.

We are very proud of our herd as it has grown and improved over the years.  We have some great type families and genomic families that we are currently working with.  We held our first biennial Favorites of Fairmont Sale in 2018 with great success, this years sale is postponed to June 18th, 2021 due to the current pandemic.

Stay @ Our Fairmont Guest House

This beautiful farmhouse is located in a picturesque Vermont country setting. A long circle driveway lined with lovely Maple trees on a very quiet road just 15 minutes from both Montpelier and Barre. This property is part of our family run dairy farm. Included in your stay will be a private tour given by one of the family members.

Your host, Bonnie, lives just a mile away and will be available to give suggestions about all the beauty in our town.

We Care For The Land

We Care For The Land

We are constantly looking for ways that we can improve our field management practices to improve our efficiency, reduce our costs, improve our yields while at the same time optimizing our resources and protecting our environment.  In 2008 we started the transition to a no-till cropping system, we have successfully completed the transition and now plant all of our crops using no-till or minimum till techniques.
